There You'll Be

Category: By Crazy Sam
Performed by Faith Hill
Written by Diane Warren
Album: Pearl Harbor Soundtrack
Music on Warner Bros. Records

Released in May 2001, There You'll Be reached a peak #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July 2001 due to strong airplay. No commercial CD single was released because producers wanted to boost sales of the Pearl Harbor soundtrack, which forced the song to chart solely on airplay in the United States. The song also reached #11 on the Billboard Country Singles Chart. The song was a big hit on the Adult Contemporary chart, staying at number one for 12 weeks. It was also popular in Canada, as it topped the singles chart in August 2001. It is Faith Hill's biggest hit single in the UK, reaching #3. There You'll Be was first offered to Celine Dion, who reportedly turned it down. It was nominated for a 2002 Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

When I think back
On these times
And the dreams
We left behind
I’ll be glad 'cause
I was blessed to get
To have you in my life
When I look back
On these days
I’ll look and see your face
You were right there for me

In my dreams
I’ll always see you soar
Above the sky
In my heart
There always be a place
For you for all my life
I’ll keep a part
Of you with me
And everywhere I am
There you’ll be

Well you showed me
How it feels
To feel the sky
Within my reach
And I always
Will remember all
The strength you
Gave to me
Your love made me
Make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me

In my dreams
I’ll always see you soar
Above the sky
In my heart
There always be a place
For you for all my life
I’ll keep a part
Of you with me
And everywhere I am
There you’ll be

'Cause I always saw in you
My light, my strength
And I want to thank you
Now for all the ways
You were right there for me
You were right there for me
For always

In my dreams
I’ll always see you soar
Above the sky
In my heart
There always be a place
For you for all my life
I’ll keep a part
Of you with me
And everywhere I am
There you’ll be
